What to see

Banzi's ancient history relies on the so-called Tabula Bantina Osca, an epigraphic text on a bronze layer, the longest and most complex among those found in Oscan language with Latin characters, which is preserved at the National Museum of Naples.

Other remains of buildings, coins, fine ceramics and decorative ornaments prove that the site had some importance in Roman times. Banzi also boasted a famous spring, whose location or existence is not proven, immortalized by Horace in his "Fons Bandusiae".
