Territory and Economy
The altitude varies greatly from 3050 to 32 metres a.s.l., with the mountains and the valleys Brembana, Seriana and Cavallina to the north, while the south consists mostly of lowlands, cultivated with corn, rice and vineyards. Apart from agriculture and the breeding of poultry, swines and sheep, the economy is based on small and medium-sized industries. Since very early mediaeval times, masons from this area were famous all over Italy.
